IHG Hotels & Resorts, one of the world’s leading hotel companies, is expanding in Thailand. Its latest addition is a luxury resort that will open in 2028. The InterContinental Phang-Nga Bay Resort will be located in Samet Nangshe, a stunning area in Phang-Nga. The resort will offer breathtaking views of Phang-Nga Bay, famous for its limestone peaks and national park beauty.
This new property is the result of a partnership between IHG and Plaipol Co., Ltd., a leading gold business owner in Thailand. The resort will have 150 rooms and be the perfect spot for travelers seeking a peaceful getaway. This addition strengthens IHG’s presence in Thailand, where the company already operates 39 hotels, including 15 resorts. There are 8 InterContinental Hotels & Resorts in the country, and 5of them are resorts.
The new property will further boost the brand’s reputation in this beautiful area. Recent IHG openings include InterContinental Bangkok, InterContinental Khao Yai Resort, InterContinental Chiang Mai The Mae Ping, and InterContinental Bangkok Sukhumvit. These properties are part of IHG’s growing portfolio across Thailand, which includes hotels in Bangkok, Pattaya, Hua Hin, Koh Samui, Phuket, Khao Yai, and Chiang Mai.
